A great collection of old RV’s plan on spending no less than one hour at the museum to really enjoy the rigs on display. RV’s dating from the 1930’s through the 1970’s, along with some vintage cars and motorcycles are on display. Bring your camera for memories sake and to have some ideas to give your RV a retro look! They have taken great care creating displays that would be accurate to the age of the rig being modeled.
I was skeptical when my wife said she wanted to visit the museum, but I am so glad we did. You are free to walk in and around the set ups for most of the displays and really take in the details. The 1948 Flexible Clipper Bus from the movie “RV” is on display complete with the Gornickies nameplate on the side. We visited with our family and some friends. From the oldest adult down to the youngest child everyone thoroughly enjoyed the museum. Hard to believe there is no entry fee and, no pressure to purchase anything, just a gracious collector sharing what he enjoys. If you are going to be in Amarillo Texas be sure to add this to your list of places to go!
